About me

Dear parents,
my name is Michaela, and I have been actively working as a babysitter for several years now — with great joy and enthusiasm.

I have recently successfully completed my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education at Masaryk University in Brno, with a specialization in Psychopedagogy (intellectual disabilities) and Etopedagogy (emotional and behavioral difficulties). From September, I will continue my studies in a Master’s program in Special Education, focusing on intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
I have experience working with both typically developing children of various ages as well as children with autism spectrum disorders. Thanks to my studies and practical experience in an autism kindergarten, school, and diagnostic center, I am able to approach each child with understanding, respect, and calmness.

In my free time, I am currently also completing an accreditation as a Behavioral Technician and further educating myself in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Simply put, this approach helps support the development of a child’s skills (such as communication, independence, and social behavior), while also improving understanding of the reasons behind certain behaviors and working with them in a sensitive and structured way. I naturally and meaningfully apply this knowledge in my babysitting and work with children.

I have been babysitting through Hlídačky for four years and currently work regularly with four families. I often pick children up, accompany them to extracurricular activities, or help them with homework. I also spent nine years working as a camp assistant at children’s summer camps — so very little surprises me these days 🙂

In my free time, I love reading books, going for walks, and spending time with friends. If you are looking for someone responsible, caring, and truly attuned to children, I would be very happy to hear from you. 💛
