About me

Hello! 🙂
My name is Kristýna and I am 24 years old.
I graduated at the University of Hradec Kralove with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education with a focus on Speech Therapy and I am currently in my 5th year of a Master's degree in Speech Therapy at Charles University in Prague.

Due to a very good schedule, I have almost 5 days a week off and I would love to fill them with something that I enjoy and make me the happiest. That is children, their joy and the time we spend together learning from each other.

By being the oldest child in my family, I have taken care of my sibling and almost every cousin since I was a child.

I've had a relationship with children since I was a little girl, and that's why even my mom's friends weren't afraid to entrust me with babysitting their little ones in later years, for example when they wanted to go out for drinks with friends in the evening or needed to take care of personal matters.
Now I have the most experience with children with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD (hyperactive children), mostly in the age of 3-8 years.

I am able to cook, clean, walk and pick up your child from nursery, school or playgroup, make snacks, drop them off at school in the morning or, conversely, put them to sleep in the evening, read a story and take care of anything that is needed and that the child is used to. After a longer cooperation, I´m able to stay with the child overnight when you need it.🙂

During my studies, I had several experiences where I was in direct contact with children from babies to preschoolers, either in early care in Tamtam in Prague or in several clinics with a clinical speech therapist. I have come into contact with children with communication impairments of all kinds, I have mastered the basics of sign language and know how to work with a child who has had a cochlear implant or is compensated with hearing aids.
I also dare to offer a kind of "speech therapy tutoring". If you go to speech therapy with your child and you don't have time to practice the tasks you have been given by the speech therapist, I will gladly take on this role.

Who am I and how do I spend my free time? 🙂
I try to enjoy life and fill every moment with any sporting activity, be it running or hiking. In winter I snowboard, cross-country ski, in summer I skate or sit on my bike and I used to dance in a group. I'm an adventurer, I love travelling, meeting new people and places. I have spent the last five summers working abroad, specifically in Germany, Wales and Iceland.

I dare to say that I am a very communicative, cheerful, optimistic and empathetic person who will try to spend quality time with your children, whether it be out on the playground or at home playing board games.

I would be very happy to get to know you and your child before the first babysitting, maybe on a walk or having a cup of tea, so that we can clarify our ideas with each other.
