About me

Hello, my name is Iva, and working with children has been a natural and long-term part of my life. I have practical experience leading a drama club for children, where I work with two age groups – younger children aged 4–6 and older children aged 6–10. I prepare programmes, games, movement and creative activities, and I continuously adapt my pace, approach, and communication to the child’s age and personality. Thanks to this experience, I feel confident working both with individual children and with groups.
Another very valuable experience for me was working as an activities coordinator in a nursing home, where I developed patience, empathy, communication skills, and sensitivity to the needs of others. This job taught me calm behaviour, respect, and the ability to respond appropriately even in more challenging situations – skills that are very important when caring for children.
I also have various work experiences in gastronomy, administration, and production, where I have continuously improved my people skills, independence, responsibility, and professional attitude. As a result, I am reliable, punctual, and I take entrusted care very seriously.
A very personal experience for me is that my younger sister was born when I was ten years old, which allowed me to closely observe a child’s development from infancy through toddlerhood to school age. I naturally became involved in her care, helped with babysitting, playing, and everyday situations, which gave me a strong sense for children’s needs at different stages of development.
I am a student at a secondary vocational school in Olomouc, studying Public Administration. Working with people is the direction I would like to continue in the future. I approach children with patience, calmness, and respect, and I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and accepted when they are with me.
I enjoy being creative with children – drawing, crafting, reading fairy tales, inventing games, or going for walks. I practice yoga, which helps me stay calm and positive even in more demanding moments. I also enjoy baking and cooking and can prepare simple meals and snacks for children.
I actively attend conversational English lessons, so I have basic communication skills in English, which can also be an advantage for children who are exposed to the language.
A child’s safety is always my top priority. I make sure agreed rules and daily routines are followed and I respect the habits and preferences of each family. I see babysitting as a matter of trust, which I truly value.
I am always happy to communicate with parents about their child’s specific needs and expectations. I approach every child individually and with genuine interest.
