About me

I’m originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, and fluent in both English and French thanks to my bilingual upbringing. I’ve been caring for children since I was 14, and childcare has been a lifelong passion.

My journey began with babysitting at 14, stepping in to cover for my two older sisters when they were unavailable. I quickly formed my own special bonds with the children; whether drawing, playing outside, or winding down with stories, I loved being present, attentive, and creative. These early experiences laid the foundation for my ongoing work with children.

I’ve worked with kids of all ages as a sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and art counsellor, and as a ski instructor. I’ve led day camps, seasonal programs, and multi-day expeditions, always prioritizing safety, creativity, and active fun.

I have experience supporting children with autism, anxiety, ADHD, diabetes, and physical disabilities. Rather than seeing these as “disabilities,” I view them as different abilities. Each child has a unique way of experiencing the world, and I find joy in understanding and supporting their individual needs with kindness and patience.

Outside of childcare, I’m an artist and musician who enjoys walking, creating sound art, and attending local cultural events. I bring creativity, curiosity, and playfulness to every moment with children.
