Kateřina D.

I am a student of Czech Language and Literature Education and Civic Education at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague. I graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia, where I gained knowledge not only in my two main fields of study, but also in psychology and pedagogy.

I have experience working as a camp counselor for children aged 3 to 6. I have also worked with children as a librarian in a children’s department, where I organized educational and leisure activities for them. In addition, I have completed teaching placements in an after-school care center, a primary school, and a secondary school.
I am also the aunt of a three-year-old niece, which has given me further experience in interacting with and caring for young children. Thanks to both my academic background and practical experience, I have a very positive relationship with children. I understand the importance of treating each child as an individual and know how to approach them with respect, empathy, and sensitivity.
In addition, I spent several years volunteering, during which I worked with senior citizens and people with physical disabilities. This experience helped me develop strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as patience and empathy when working with people of different ages and needs.
My hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, and photography. (I am also happy to provide childcare or tutoring for children from international backgrounds and for children whose native language is not Czech.)
