Thanks to a three-year job in social services - the position of worker in social services (caregiver), I gained a lot of experience related to the work of socially disadvantaged people in any way. However, a large part was made up of seniors. Very often the clients were immobile or suffered from mental illness. They were usually helped with, for example, personal hygiene, diet, cleaning, as well as physical activity and emotional support. Initially, I only worked part-time in this job while studying at the Faculty of Philosophy, majoring in social work, but the work appealed to me so much that I accepted the offer for a full-time job. Working with seniors is very rewarding for me. It brings me so much joy to see their faces together afterwards. I am grateful for the fact that I can help these people get involved in life and support them to live a dignified life in their natural environment. This job makes sense to me.
